Electric underfloor heating utilises a series of heated cables and is installed underneath a flooring surface. This system is more appropriate in the following instances:
- Smaller surface area i.e. kitchen or bathroom - 22m2
- Lower upfront costs- as it is not connected to a boiler

Wet underfloor heating i.e. Minitec on the other hand, is a combination of pipes which distribute warm water underneath a floor covering to create a pleasant environment. The pipes are connected to a boiler via a manifold. This system is more appropriate in the following instances:
- Larger surface areas- over 22m2
- Long term savings via reduced energy bills
- More hygienic
- Flexibility in room temperature
- More space in rooms
- Energy efficient
- No cold spots, even spread of heating
- Ease of installation
Once one of the approved levelling compounds has been applied, you only have to wait three hours before you are able to walk on the floor again.
After just three days the floor heating can be brought up to temperature. This gives a massive advantage over other traditional screed UFH systems
All floor types are compatible with the Minitec Underfloor Heating System. We do recommend however, you contact your flooring manufacturer to check compatibility with underfloor heating systems.
It is highly recommended that you do have insulation in your floor to improve efficiency. However, it is not essential for a perfect warm floor.

Yes, providing your existing floor is level with no cracked or uneven tiles. A primer may need to be applied to allow for system adhesion
